Hackers and scammers will claim they are customer service representatives, ask for your PIN number, and gain access to your account.
From there they have free game to send all money to their own CashApp accounts and use it to buy cryptocurrency, where as we all know, goes into the stratosphere (COMPLETELY UNTRACEABLE).
Other ways they gain access to your account is through phishing websites.
They’re not legitimate CashApp pages, but will appear to be, and they’ll steal your log in information.
Another way is through text messages.
They’ll send you a text message asking you to “verify” your information due to a possible fraud attempt, and then log in and steal your money.
But can’t CashApp find these people and hold them accountable?
Not at all.
You only need to verify your account if you want to withdraw your money.
These people are sending money to new accounts and buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.
Scammers will simply create different accounts, steal money, send to the new accounts, and purchase cryptocurrency with the stolen account and then delete it.

As you can see, CashApp is okay, but far from perfect.
