Yes, Instagram is now the new Tinder. It has gone from a photo-sharing website to an unofficial dating app.
So what does this mean for the future of Instagram?
Well, the fact that it’s going to continue being used as a “for sale” platform to potential mate.
“For sale” being a metaphor.
Whether we like it or not this is the new normal.
Guys can learn to adapt and start getting girls or fall behind.
Because there’s no doubt about it, girls have mastered this app.
Most guys still rely on Tinder and Bumble while a small percentage of guys have learnt that Instagram is the new dating app and adapted accordingly.
Girls Have Mastered Instagram Far Better than Guys
Girls have mastered the art of the thirst trap.
Thirst trap is the act of enticing viewers sexually.
Their Instagram is full of half-naked pictures to get more likes, shares and followers.
Now here’s something you didn’t know.
Girls thirst trap with their bodies, guys thirst trap with their lifestyle.
Posting lots of selfies is a surefire way to make her cringe, even if you’re good looking and have a good body.
How guys thirst trap is totally different to girls. Thirst trapping with our bodies doesn’t work because we both want different things.
Girls want adventure, an interesting lifestyle, they want to know that if they hang with you they’re in for a good time.
The very first thing you need to do is stand out and delete all the damn selfies.
Add more pictures of you doing cool things.
- Posing with a cool car
- Standing at the top of a mountain
- Sitting on a surfboard in the sea
- Cliff jumping
- Chilling on a boat
- Partying with girls
I emphasize partying with girls or hanging out with chicks because pre-selection is real an easy way to appear more attractive without doing anything.
Pre-Selection is a Thing
Pre-Seleciton is real.
What this means is that girls want to know that you are attractive to other women.
This removes the creepy factor and the fact that you have experience with girls, which is an attractive trait.
Be the guy that other girls want and other guys want to be.
The virgin or the guy that doesn’t have much experience with girls is less attractive to them.
Sliding in the DMs
Don’t slide in the DMs with a compliment. Literally every thirsty guy is doing it.
Also don’t open with a pickup line.
Compliments and pickup lines might get read but they don’t get replies, let alone dates.
Think of something that no one will notice or mention to her.
- Tease her about her many different poses
- Tease her about her poses all being the same
- Say something about her bio
- Tease her about all her different hair colors
There are hundreds of things to open with that no one else does. Just tease them a little, they absolutely love it.
Speed is the Aim of the Game
Speed is the aim of the game here. You want to get that introduction in and get their number before they get bored and move on.
But you have to find a balance.
Going in too strong will get you ignored, and waiting too long will also get you ghosted because it usually ends up being meaningless conversation.
Instagram DMs should never be used to have full-blown conversations, it’s an intro into who you are and what you’re all about, and then getting the number.
Once you get the number the next goal is to set up a date.
But again, coming on too early is a surefire way to get a no and be ghosted forever.
Waiting too long is going to make her get bored and also just ghost you.
Find a balance so you can get the number and date as soon as possible.
A good rule of thumb is 1 week.
2 days to get the number and up to 5 days to set up a date. Any longer than that and you’re chances of landing a date is slim.
Instagram Dating is the Future
Instagram dating has been around for at least a few years, yet there are still people that haven’t caught on.
It is the biggest unofficial dating app right next to Tinder.
So if you’re looking to take your dating game to the next level, remove those damn selfies and get some real thirst trap pictures up.
Only that way you’ll start to see some success.
