What is Norwex all about, and is it a viable business opportunity?
I am not usually a man of few words, but there isn’t much to talk about with this MLM opportunity, so I would rather get straight to the point.
Norwex has been around for over 25 years and has held a solid reputation since.
Their revenue was pretty flat from 2015 – 2018 but risen exponentially in 2021. They’re up to $100 – $150 million annually.
Seems like a pretty good company to partner with, right? Lets find out.

Norwex sells eco-friendly household and personal care products. It’s certainly different from other MLM businesses but there are some major flaws that might make you change your mind about it. I’ll explain them all in this article.
What is Norwex
Norwex is a company that sells eco-friendly household and personal care products.
But more emphasis needs to be put into the microfiber cloth that claims to clean surfaces up to 99% with a microfiber cloth and water.
This is one of the most popular items that they sell. They also have them on Amazon but for a more expensive price.
You’ll need to buy from a consultant if you want them for cheaper.
Norwex also offers a compensation plan to provide a home-based business opportunity.
But for now lets discuss the products.
The Products
Norwex all about building an eco-friendly planet with their household items and personal care products without the use of harmful chemicals.
The products are as follows:
- Bathroom cleaning products
- Towels
- Laundry detergent
- Toothbrush & deodorant
- Microfibre cleaning cloths
- And more
The products use enzymes to do the heavy lifting.
Do they really kill 99% of germs though?
It seems there’s a bit of confusion about how well the products work and if they actually do as they say.
Norwex claims on their website that their products do NOT kill 99% of viruses, they REMOVE 99% of viruses from the surface, there is a huge difference.
Well there’s the truth. They don’t kill, they remove from surfaces.
The Compensation Plan
The compensation offers an “opportunity” for people to create their own home-based business, simply by using a Multi-Level-Marketing platform.
However, there are some things you need to know before embarking on this journey.
First and foremost you are told that the compensation plan is free but you will need to sell $2000 worth of products in the first 90 days, otherwise pay a $200 fee.
You’ll also need to sell $250 worth of products every 3 months to be counted as an “engaged consultant”.
Basically when you’re an engaged consultant you earn commissions from your downlines sales.
You’ll need 3 engaged consultants before you start earning commissions.
As a consultant you are also given 35% discounts on the products.
This makes it cheaper to buy from consultants rather than third-party websites, giving other people an incentive to buy from you instead.
Is Norwex a Pyramid Scheme?
One thing I like about Norwex is that the focus is on selling the products rather than promising people a way to make money.
This separates the pyramid schemes from the legit opportunities.
As the saying goes, only time will tell.
Norwex has been around for 25 years and have proven that they are true to their word, they are here to create a more eco-friendly planet.
Norwex is not a pyramid scheme, and they actually have a business opportunity with decent products.
The Flaws
Yes you should have seen it coming. It’s not all rainbows and daisies. There are a few things that might make you second guess getting involved in this company.
Overpriced products
The products are overpriced even when you buy from a consultant with a 35% discount.
Some of the products cost 3x more than their competitors.
The reality is that people are hosting parties and selling to family and friends who don’t really know better.
Small fine print
They say that you are given $2000 worth of product but they don’t tell you (unless you read the fine print) that you’ll need to sell that product within 90 days or pay $200.
Need to constantly buy products
You need to sell $250 worth of products every 3 months to be considered an “active consultant” (or $165 after the discount).
If you don’t reach your quota you will have to pay $20 to reactivate your account.
Not as easy as it sounds
Everyone’s doing MLM. Seriously, open up your Facebook right now and I guarantee you’ll see someone promoting their latest and greatest health shake.
The fact of the matter is;
It sounds good on paper, but 90% of people will lose money. That’s the cold hard truth.
The ones making all the money are the ones that know how to recruit (without selling).

The Good
The focus is on selling products
The whole focus is on selling pretty good products.
They have a real mission which is something I can’t say about many other MLM “opportunities”.
Norwex wants to get their products out to everyone so they can experience a chemical-free home.
Proven track record
They’ve proven that they have good products that work and people love them.
They’ve been good for 25 years now and after seeing their current revenue numbers, it looks like they’ll be here for a while.
Do I Recommend Norwex?
I simply cannot recommend Norwex for the simple fact that most people who start will lose money.
That’s a 90% failure rate, which is way too high for me to recommend.
There are better opportunities that can earn you money quicker, and you won’t have to fork out an arm and a leg to do it.
Create a Real Business that You Own
I’m not a fan of things that I don’t own.
When you join another company that you don’t own, your entire business can be wiped out just like that.
Most of the time without warning either, because they’ve been exposed so they ghost everyone, even their loyal members that have made them all the money over the years.
There are many businesses you can create in this day and age, but my favorite is a website or blog.
My income is determined by how much articles I write, it’s as simple as that. The more articles you have on your website, the more money you make.
I earn 4 figures a month from one blog, and I can take as many days off as I want.
I think it’s the best job in the world!
You can experience that as well. As long as you’re willing to put in the work and don’t expect any hand outs.
