OnlyFans Just Pulled the Plug on Explicit Content (What’s the Alternative?)

I hate to say it to all OnlyFans spicy stars, but OnlyFans is officially banning explicit content.

They talked about this about a month ago but no one expected it to come this quickly.

I bet there’s a lot of questions and concerns you might have.

Whether you’re here for the gossip or anxious because you don’t know how you’re going to pay rent, keep reading because I’m going to give you some answers.

Why Did they Pull The Plug?

Basically to stay in the good books of banking partners and share holders.

In their words “they were put under pressure”.

“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,”

Another reason for the plug is because they’ve been having issues with minors getting ahold of fake ID’s and posting indecent photos and videos.

Mastercard and Visa cut ties with PornHub last year after reports of videos showing underage sex, rape and revenge porn (allegedly).

OnlyFans want to comply with banking and payment providers so this doesn’t happen to them.

After banning 15 accounts of minors in July alone, it’s in their best interest to comply with banks so they don’t suffer the same fate.

Some of You Might Be Safe (Don’t Panic)

At the moment they are only banning explicit content.

This means anything containing sexual activity.

There’s a difference between explicit content and adult content.

This is good news for many OF creators that just post nudes.

Nudes are okay.

If you have an OnlyFans account and only post sexy outfits, bikinis, and the occasional nude photo, etc, you are safe.

However, that doesn’t mean that they won’t ban nudes in the future.

I’m guessing that nudes will be banned eventually. It’ll be a slow process to ease people into the transition.

Who Takes the Biggest Hit?

A lot of people will take a huge hit, specifically sex workers who sell hardcore photos and videos.

Many subscribers will stop paying for those that just wanted explicit content, and content creators will move on to other platforms.

I’m predicting that some OnlyFans users will take up to a 50% pay cut (either by transferring to another platform, because not everyone will re-sub, and those that just subscribed for the hardcore stuff).

Don’t worry, OnlyFans will take a massive hit as well.

Yes they know this but they want to get out of the porn industry.

Should You Stay With OnlyFans?

OnlyFans are trying to move away from the pornography industry that it has established itself as.

They’re trying to make their forum for musicians, personal trainers, cooking enthusiasts, and anything along those lines.

Because of this update there has been a HUGE uproar from fans who rely on OnlyFans to pay their rent.

The changes doesn’t take effect until October the 1st, so there’s still some time to work things out.

If you’re someone who just posts outfits, bikini pics, nudes, and nothing explicit, you are fine and you don’t have to do anything.

But if you’re in the porn industry and heavily rely on OnlyFans to pay bills, I recommend removing the explicit content and start posting nudes that comply with their Terms of Service.

Move all your explicit stuff to one of the platforms below and announce it to your fans where you’ve moved to.

Other platforms you can use are:

  1. FanCentro
  2. ManyVids
  3. Mygirlfund
  4. AVN Stars
  5. Justforfans
  6. Ismygirl
  7. Loyalfans

Whether the wrath of the bankers strike their hammer on these other websites is still unknown.

But for now porn is completely okay and a great alternative to continue making money with explicit content.

Well that concludes this article.
