Products for Profit Review – Is It Worth It?

Products for Profit is a training program that teaches you how to find products for cheap and sell high, earning money and making profits. But how good is it really?

Something that caught my eye about Products for Profit is that they take a bit of an “old school” approach to making money online.

Their methods have been around for decades.

You’re basically buying something for cheap and selling for more than you bought it for, in the hopes to make a profit.

There’s a lot to talk about in this training program, so lets get right into this review.

What is Products for Profit?

Products for Profits is a training program that teaches you how to find viable products for cheap and sell for more.

Once you’ve found products and bought your inventory, you then have to sell them on Amazon, Ebay, or other online marketplace.

This is basically Amazon FBA but with old school techniques.

What do I mean buy old school methods?

Well before the online giant we call Amazon took over the internet, people would sell items around the house on Ebay, Craigslist, etc.

It become incredibly popular to buy things for cheap (online and offline) and sell them for more on online digital marketplaces.

People would go to thrift stores, garage sales, book stores, and many other places, to buy things to sell online.

That’s really what Products for Profit is all about, doing anything possible to make profits. Hence the name.

So now you know exactly what you’ll be doing to make money with this system, lets take a look inside the training program.

Products for Profit Training Material

Inside the training program you will have access to a wide range of training modules, including:

#1 – Private Discord With 1500+ Members

A community of like-minded people to interact with about “making money” techniques is invaluable in this day and age.

Having a team around to hold you accountable, share experiences, and their own methods can speed up your success exponentially.

It’s true that you can’t do it on your own, not with so many distractions and shiny objects around every corner.

So a team of others just trying to make it in this whacky world of internet marketing is invaluable, something that I like about Products for Profit

#2 – 8 Training Modules

The 8 training modules is a simple crash course that teaches you how to find items, how to market your products to make a profit, how to handle inventory, and many more.

This is not the end-all-be-all training, but more so a introduction to how to start in this business model.

The real big profits come from doing it yourself, learning from the private discord channel, other peoples experiences, etc.

#3 – 25 Live Webinars

There are also 25 live webinars that you have unlimited access to that you can re-watch as many times as you need.

Of course they aren’t live now, but they were when they were recorded.

The webinars include a Q&A section, additional tips, tactics, strategies, and more.

#4 – Over 250 Profitable Products

A list of 250 products+ will be available forisu to buy and sell for a profit, which is also updated frequently.

This means any newbie can dive in, buy some inventory, and start selling for a profit asap.

However, keep in mind that everyone else are selling the same products, so the market would be saturated in my opinion.

You’re better off finding your own products to sell.

#5 – Mobile App

They also have a mobile app available.

Price and Purchase Details

In order to get access to this system, you will need to pay a monthly fee of $49, or $99 for the premium package.

These are as follows

Products for Profit ($49/m)

  • Everything mentioned above
  • Weekly live webinars
  • Bi-weekly live Q&A Sessions with the owner and PFP+ members

Products for Profit Plus ($99/m)

  • Everything mentioned above as well as from the regular package
  • Access to The Flip List, which is a bigger list of products to buy and sell

In my opinion there isn’t much difference between the regular package and the premium plus, therefore I don’t recommend the highest price package when starting out.

So does that mean I’m saying this program is worth it, or is it just anther scam?

Here’s my opinion.

Is Products for Profit a Scam?

Look:

Products for Profit is not a scam in any way, shape, or form.

It’s a legitimate business model that has worked since the beginning of online marketplaces, since people started selling things online.

This business model works, and it will work until the end of the internet (which will be never).

However, that’s not to say that it’s easy or going to be scalable for that matter.

It sounds good in theory, but there are so many pros and cons that I think you should be aware of when trying to sell things online, ESPECIALLY when it comes to physical goods.

Let me break it down in detail below.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Like

  • It’s possible to make good money. There’s a lot of money to be made buying and selling items online
  • You get a community of like-minded people. This will help your success exponentially
  • You will learn a lot about sales. You can learn a lot about people and the psychology of selling that can help you in other areas of life

Cons

Dislike

  • It’s active income. Simply put, active income means you have to constantly work on it to make money. Whereas passive income means you make money 24/7 even when you’re not working on it. An example would be a blog or ecommerce store
  • Hours invested VS return on investment is not good. You have to spend hours searching for products, invest your money to buy the products, and dealing with shipping and handling, etc. In the end the amount of work you have to put in isn’t worth it
  • You’ll need a hefty investment. In addition to paying for the monthly membership of Products for Profit, you’ll need to spend more money buying the products with no guarantee of making sales
  • Risky business model. I talk about this in my article about Amazon FBA. You can spend a thousand dollars or more buying inventory, but might only make half of that money back, or none at all

Is Products for Profit Worth It?

Compared to most online training programs, it’s one of the better ones out there, but still not my recommendation.

As you can see under the pros and cons section, the negatives far outweigh the positives.

The fact of the matter is, it was good back in the day before things like affiliate marketing, blogging, ecommerce, etc, came on the scene.

Now there are FAR better ways to make money without spending a bunch of your time.

My biggest negative is the fact that once you stop spending time on this “business model”, you stop making money.

Nowadays you can set up an online store or blog and make money around the clock, even if you stop working on it for weeks.

So that’s what I recommend instead.

Verdict: It’s an okay platform to learn how to buy/sell things online for profit, but not something I would recommend.

What Do I Recommend Instead?

You’ve seen me mention affiliate marketing and blogging throughout this article, which is what I recommend over any other online business.

Basically, your blog attracts the visitors, and you make money with affiliate marketing.

It’s a lot easier than it sounds, but you will be writing content targeting low-competition keywords, ranking in the search engines, and getting traffic.

Once the traffic comes in, you can sell products with affiliate marketing, which is selling other peoples products for a commission.

You don’t have to handle inventory or customer service because the merchant handles all of that.

You’re  just the middle-man making the sale.
