ZoomBucks Review – Is It Legit or a Scam?

ZoomBucks claims to pay you real money for watching videos, filling out surveys and completing offers. Although this might be true, there are other things you need to know.

I came across ZoomBucks after looking for free ways to make money online.

I like to find these systems and expose them for what they really are, usually a scam or a massive waste of time.

Before I even start this review, I already know that ZoomBucks is going to be a huge waste of time with no real value to offer.

But I like to give systems the benefit of the doubt, so keep reading this review for the cold-hard truth.

What is ZoomBucks Exactly?

ZoomBucks How it Works

ZoomBucks is a website where you can sign up, watch videos, complete surveys and offers for free money.

After every offer, survey or video watched, you will receive a certain amount of points which can go towards a gift card or real money via PayPal or Skrill.

The minimum payout through one of these online payment services is 3000 points, which equals $3.

This is the first flag that shows that we are dealing with a legit program. Most BS programs will make a high withdrawal payout so people never reach their earnings.

A couple of years ago I reviewed a similar system with a withdrawal rate of $100!

No one is going to reach that.

Is ZoomBucks a Scam?

Before we move forward with the nuts and bolts of this system, I want to reiterate that ZB is not a scam and that you can actually make real money from it.

However, even though something is legit, does not mean that it’s worth your time and energy.

The biggest problem is the low earning potential but I’ll talk more about the problems later in this review.

For now, all you need to know that ZB is not a scam and a legit way of making money online.

How to Make Money With ZoomBucks

There are 3 main ways to make money with ZB and one bonus method.

First and foremost, you can earn through watching videos.

With this option you have to watch 3 – 4 videos in a row along with an ad.

The good thing about this is that you can leave it running in the background and make money on autopilot.

But on the other hand, it’s still not worth it in my opinion. If you leave the video running option running for 24 hours you will probably only make $1, possibly less.

Secondly, you can earn by completing surveys.

Another legit option that can earn a little more than watching ads but requires more of your time and attention.

Most surveys, on average across all survey sites, pay around $0.10 – $0.40 each.

Well in this case you will earn points that you can then convert into cash later on.

Surveys are less than an okay way of making money online in my opinion.

A lot of them take way too long for the money earned, and some will even kick you out when you complete the survey because “you don’t qualify”.

The third option is to complete offers.

Offers has more earning potential, but in most cases, you have to spend money to make money, or at the very least sign up to free trials for apps and games.

This means getting out your credit card information.

This is an okay option but still not worth it.

The Referral System

The fourth way to earn money with ZoomBucks is to take part of their referral program.

Just like most of these systems, it is completely trash system and you do not make anywhere as near as you should be.

You should not participate in a referral system that doesn’t pay you a percentage of your downlines earnings.

For example: Some will pay 10 – 25% of what your downlines earnings.

However, ZoomBucks pays 250 points per referee, which equates to just $0.25. This will go down even more depending on what country the referees from.

If that wasn’t bad enough, you don’t get these points until your referees get their first 1000 points.

The Currency and How to Get Paid

ZoomBucks Rewards Catalogue

The currency used in ZoomBucks is called points.

You need a certain amount of points to redeem for real cash or gift cards.

Basically, 1000 points = $1

Therefore you will have to work like a manic to accumulate enough points just to cash out.

What I Don’t Like

Low earning potential

As mentioned earlier, even though real money can be made, there’s the fact that it’s a completely bad ROI.

You’re working for hours and hours just to hopefully earn $1.

If you have a regular job, responsibilities, and a life, the time it takes to get your first $3 withdrawal is hands down not worth the time invested.

They make it sounds like you’re going to make easy money

Sure the money is easy, because all you’re doing is watching videos and completing surveys, but the money made is nothing to boast about.

“Getting paid to watch TV” is not even worth mentioning if you’re only getting 7 points every 10 minutes, or $0.007 after conversion.

Trash referral program

I trashed the hell out of a similar referral program with ProTypers which ended up being a borderline scam with the strict requirements to get your money.

Even though the referral program isn’t as bad as ProTypers, it is still not good.

$0.25 for pestering friends and family to join something that pays pennies for hours of work is not a worthwhile investment.

What I Like

I don’t really like anything about this website but I will list some things that I think are worth pointing out.

Can leave the videos running on autopilot

I like the fact that you can leave the videos running in the background and make money on autopilot.

Of course it’s not big money, but the option is there.

If you leave it running for, lets say, 6 hours a day while you’re relaxing, you could earn a couple bucks every week.

Let it build up, and by the end of the year you could have a free $20 – $50 that you didn’t have before.

Low minimum withdrawal threshold

I also like that they have a low minimum payout compared to other survey sites.

3000 points means you could be cashing out $3 through PayPal within a few days if you work on it every single day.

And if you take advantage of the video/ads option, you could boost your earnings even more.

This is still a lot faster than other online survey sites that can take literally months before you reach minimum payout.

My Final Thoughts on ZoomBucks

As you can probably tell, I am not a big fan of these types of “online money-making opportunities”.

ZoomBucks is your typical online survey site with nothing new to offer and absolutely no decent way of making money online.

It is designed to squeeze valuable marketing information out of you while paying pennies.

They fool the average internet user into thinking that they have this amazing opportunity in front of them that will make them a good income by “watching TV”.

Sure it sounds good on paper because people watch TV daily anyway, so this entices them into joining, thinking they will get paid doing something they do anyway.

Little do they know that they won’t get to choose the program or channel, just shown a few clips that go for minutes long and then an ad break.

So my final thoughts on ZoomBucks are nothing but negative with a few positives sprinkled in.

Why?

Because there are FAR better ways to spend your time, doing something that can earn you a full-time income instead.

And that brings me to my alternative.

Is There a ZoomBucks Alternative?

There are thousands of ways to make money online these days.

However, the vast majority of them downright suck, and the others are just scams.

A small portion of them are legit and actually work, one of them is called Wealthy Affiliate.

You’re not working on someone else’s program and building up their system, you build up your own online business instead.

That’s what the training is all about.

They’ll teach you how to build a blog and make money through affiliate marketing.

That’s how I learnt to make this blog and receive traffic through Google and other search engines.

It’s a strategy that has worked since the beginning of the internet and will continue to work for the foreseeable future, as long as the internet still exists.
